1/9/09:
I made a brief update to the art page. Or, rather, I took it down, since my DeviantArt page more than covers for it. Sorry, nothing else to report.
8/24/08: Huh, I seem to really like the month of August, don't I? Oh well. Anyways, just in case there are some people who look at this page that don't look at my DeviantArt page or Halfbakedscheme, I'm starting a webcomic. It's going to be in the vein of epic sci-fi, and I'm going to update every Monday. It can be found here. 12/28/07: Guess what? I've actually been programming, for once. A lot, in fact. Today's update involves two new games. Both are semi-WIP, but each is pretty much a complete game at present -- that is, I plan to go further with them, but they are fully playable and even semi-polished. The first is a SHMUP, using entirely home-made resources. The sprites, coding, music and even sound are all made by me. The second is a sort of 'tag' game for two players that is played over the network. I made it in order to teach myself how to use Game Maker's multiplayer functions, so it isn't much of a game, but it's still fun for about half a minute, and extremely exciting for me. Both games are now available on the Games page. 8/24/07: Wow, almost exactly one year later. I am so talented. Anyways, today's update is actually a bit later than it should be (big surprise there, huh?), seeing as I'm only now uploading content that I finished and should have uploaded in July. The content I speak of is the 7 games I made as a challenge for myself: to create one game per day for seven days. And you can find them all here: Game-A-Day Summer 2007. That's about it, I guess. There's more information on that page and within the games themselves. 8/25/06: Okay, so much for often updates. If you frequent Half Baked Scheme, you will actually have seen many of my behind-the-scenes updates, which had no effect on the main site whatsoever. The point of this news post is actually not to announce some huge update, it's actually to plug another site that I visit. Game Maker and Talents is fairly inactive at the moment, and needs more members. You can join up and upload just about anything (as long as it's R-rated or under), and discuss all sorts of things with the people there. Please, at least give it a try. I am co-owner of the site, and the owner is a good friend of mine I met online, who has worked very hard on it only to see it fall into disuse. 1/23/06: Wow, it's been almost a year since my last update. Don't worry, that should change soon. Since I've got my own subdomain now, I have FTP set up on my own computer so I can update whenever I want. Also, let me tell you all something. Internet Explorer is BAAAAAD. The reason for all of the broken links is not in fact because FireFox doesn't like me, it's because Internet Explorer is too lenient with syntax. See, I somehow managed to make most of the links to the files with backslashes ( \ ) rather than the forward slashes ( / ) that are used in HTTP. IE let me get away with this, and I didn't realize that was the problem until I started using Firefox myself. 2/15/05: A quick update. Many people pointed out several problems with Fuzz, so I made a few tweaks. Firstly, you should all have a better menu screen and the options should work. There was a problem with the zip file that unzipped certain things to the wrong locations. I also changed the checkpoints so that they don't make sound when the sound is turned off. The tree jumps were made a bit easier, and placeholders for coins were added (now you know what the seemingly useless caves were all about). Enjoy! 12/29/04: I finally update again. Enjoy the new layout, I decided the previous one was too red. And ugly. I guess you could call this new style a "mini-page." Please ignore the annoying horizontal scroll-bar, I can't get it to go away. If any of you know how (Without the additional removal of the vertical scroll-bar), please tell me. Anyways, I also finished up the new demo of Fuzz, so check that out in the Games section. |
